Looking for Lady's vest

Hi everyone :muah:

My mom sent me some gorgeous dark red alpaca yarn from Peru. Lots and lots of it. After some anguish over what would be a project worthy of this wonderful yarn, I’ve settled on making myself a nice, classy vest. cloud9

I’m not savvy enough a knitter to make up my own pattern so obviously, I come to you. I’m picturing a V neck, fitted around the waist, with some nice, feminine and discreet pattern (something leafy?). I can handle simple cabling or lace.
Oh, it’s DK weight yarn.

I’ve looked through Knitty but nothing there really caught my eye. Help? :slight_smile:

Sounds lovely…how bout Vogue Knitting Mag? I have some “back” issues Spring 2005and Fall 2006…They have the most gorgeous (somewhat intermediate) patterns, but if you can do lace you could probably breeze thru those…Check em out if you can…maybe library??
