for my boys ages 2 and 8 any ideas?
I put up a basic earflap hat pattern on my blog…it would be easy enough to adjust for smaller sizes. The pattern gauge is 3.5 sts per inch and yields a 20-inch hat…so if you knit it at a different gauge it would be smaller…at 4 sts/inch it would be about 17" around.
Hm I think there were some really interesting ones in the latest issue of INterweave magazine. But for adults. I know I’ve seen some somewhere… will keep an eye out.
I am looking for one too. Let me know if you found a cute pattern.
Baby Bloom by Erika Knight has a nice looking one I think I have it scanned somewhere as it is on my to do list, just go check, ok found it, will attatch a pic of the hat, the sizes it gives are 0-6months, 9-18months and 18months +, I checked the measurements and it shold fit my son who is 4 in march, maybe he just has a small head LMAO
I’ve done the Baby Uggs from this Knitty Gritty episode, but they also have an earflap hat with the same yarn. Cute!!!
those are cute patterns
How about some hats for child (2+ years) size?
There is a great (and cheap) little book out by Red Heart called Hats & Mitts for kids. It has some really cute and easy patterns.
I am in Ontario, Canada and I bought in Zellers. I’m sure it’s likely available in most department stores in North America.
