Looking for a wine cozy pattern

I am looking for a pattern for a wine cozy (or snuggly). I want one that will completely encompass the wine bottle. The only one I can find is on Knitty.com and for some reason I just don’t ‘get’ the pattern. It’s knit on straight needles, not circular, and I don’t get the ridge part of the pattern.

Does anyone know where I can get a different pattern? Or one knit on circulars?

Heres a felted one http://magazines.ivillage.com/countryliving/decorate/projects/articles/0,,284635_677780-5,00.html

Can anyone explain how to to the ‘ridge’ on the bottom of the knitty pattern?

What don’t you understand about the ridge? I did it and it wasn’t as hard as I thought.

you’re purling your way back on the WS.
it sounds like what you need to do is find a stitch 6 rows down, put that on your needle and then p2tog. and repeat this the whole way across the row. for every stitch, you’re going to pick one up 6 rows down, add it to the needle and then p2tog.

it’s going to gather the row you’re working on with the one 6 rows down and create a fold which is the ridge.

That’s it exactly, good explination!

The problem is I don’t know how to pick up a stitch from 6 rows down.
I mean I don’t know what part of the stitch to pick up. the ridge? the top of the ridge or the bottom?

I get the rest of the pattern, I just don’t understand that part of it.
