Looking for a scarf or hat pattern to show off Manos de Uruguay yarn

Hi all, I found these two beautiful skeins of Manos de Uruguay and I wanted to make a scarf, neckwarmer or hat that would show off the wonderful colors. I just wonder what should I look for in a pattern when the yarn is not one color?
I made a beautiful scarf with a broken rib pattern and although it came out really really pretty, it curls badly. And, yet, I did block it, although I heard it wasn’t essential for all scarves.
Any ideas? The yarn is pleading to be given some attention. :inlove:

I think patterns with obvious diagonals (chevron, multi-directional, etc) look great with multi color striping yarns.

Same pattern, but easier to print: http://douma.net/Karen/knitting/Accessory-Scarves/Multidirectional_Diagonal_Scarf.htm

Wow, those are beautiful choices. Thank you!!! :yay: :muah:  :grphug: :woohoo:

That scarf almost makes spinach appealing to me :eyebrow:

Did you get any patterns? I need at pattern ASAP for the same yarn.

Hi Mary,
Yes, look at the links above for great inspiration. I have always wanted to try the “My So Called Scarf” pattern but I’m nervous about it. I also liked the Cream of Spinach and Chevron scarf very much. Let me know which one you end up doing. I have a few projects ahead of this one so it will be a little bit before I get to it.

Nery :teehee:

I made a “My So Called Scarf” in Malabrigo and I love it to pieces. Fun pattern once you get the hang of it.

My so called Scarf pattern is easier to understand if you think of the RS rows as - k1, sl 1, k1, yo, psso and repeat. It’s the same as what the pattern says, just broken down into how you actually do it.

Yup, I’ve done this scarf too and it works up so pretty! And it IS much easier than how the directions are written. You can also look it up on youtube for a video on how to actually knit those confusing directions. Here’s one of them: youtube video

Thanks so much! I am going to print your instructions and try this pattern - FINALLY!!! :muah: :grphug: :woot:
