Looking for a pattern

Hello,

Does anyone know of a pattern for an afghan that starts from the center and works its way out. I bought some yarn, and I know I don’t have that much, and to attempt to make it sqare with out knowing how much to cast on seems impossible to me. It is just some red heart light and lofty ( kind of like homespun), but it is a discontinued color. I was thinking of soething like a granny square, but something knitted. I know of log cabin, but that wouldn’t look very good I don’t think in a solid color. And the pinwheel one, not sure if it would look good with such a heavy yarn.

You can do one from the corner. Knit 1, yo, knit to the end on every row and you’ll get a triangle. When you’ve used half your yarn, you decrease once on each row.:shrug:

this is another good option. could easily add a border another colour if run out of yarn too soon.
