Looking for a pattern for a man's knit cap

Hi,
I am looking for a pattern for a man’s knit hat. I have in mind a ribbed or cable pattern that is loose and not flat to the head. Anyone have one?

Both ribs and cables tend to pull in so they would lay close to the scalp. I guess you mean just not stockinette? :shrug:

Here’s an interesting one - http://delcroissant.blogspot.com/2007/01/and-first-fo-of-2007.html it’s got slipped ribs and works up sort of thick. You can easily make it longer too; I’m making one for a son and made the cuff a little longer and the head needs to be an inch or so longer.
