Lookie what I got!

My cousin in Oregon sent me 2 llama fleeces yesterday!! I found a farm nearby who spins and custom knits. I emailed them, asking about having my fleeces spun. I have no idea what it takes- these fleeces are VERY dirty- or how much it might cost, but I think it would be SO cool to have yarn made from these, and then be able to knit something for my cousin and send it back to her!! :happydance:

wow, that is cool!

whoahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…awsome!!! you have a cool friend!!!

Oh that’s just totally awesome!! Do keep us posted on the progress of the fleece!

:inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

Lucky you, Margie!!

Cool! I wish I knew someone who has llamas for alpacas!

That’s so cool! Keep us posted! I’d love to see how the yarn turns out and what you make with it!

wow i wish i had a cousin with some llamas!!! :inlove:

:cheering: :cheering: Watch out the birds don’t steal all that for the softest nests in town!

I remember researching this awhile ago because I was thinking about buying some unprocessed fleece. I found these places:

http://www.blackberry-ridge.com/

http://www.wildeyarns.com/index.htm

The first one is in Vermont but the second one is in PA. Maybe they can clean it up for you and then spin it to your requirements. Good luck! It looks like great fiber!

OMG!!! Definitely keep us posted on this story! that it sooo cool!
