Long Time, No See

It feels like a lifetime since I’ve logged in here! I see a lot of new names/faces and not a whole lot of the old timers who might remember me… Ah well.

A lot has happened in the many years. I had put away my needles for a while - moved and left my stash behind (I know, right?), and had neither the energy or emotional time to pick up the sticks and build a new stash. I tried every now and again, and think I managed to start a bunch of projects that got lost or ruined in the abyss that was my life.

I ended an 8 year relationship. Moved again. And have started building a new stash and finished my first pair of socks in many years. I think it’s safe to say I was a bit depressed! Thankfully, I’ve come through it. Haha!

Anyway. It’s good to be back. I’ve missed those of you who knew me when and can’t wait to get to know those of you who have cropped up in the meantime! :grphug:

Hi,
Sorry to hear about your problems. But looks like you are ready for a new beginning. :cheering: :cheering:

I am one of the new faces here

SVR

Welcome back!!:yay:

Welcome Back!

WB, eh!

Yay! It’s great when you get out of a depressed stage… everything seems all knew and wonderful again- even more crisp and wonderful than it did beforehand… possibly! You should show us those socks… and omg, you WERE depressed to leave your STASH BEHIND :o The next time I do that, it would be because I died, I swear! No! My yarn! :: yank :: :roflhard:

When I think of all the yarn stored down in FL it makes me cry a little on the inside! Everything happens for a reason, though! And maybe next time I go home to visit my family, a trip to the storage unit is in order.

I need to take pictures of my socks and post them, but my camera is on the fritz. I could use my phone, but the quality isn’t terrific. I don’t mind if you don’t, though!:happydance:

I’m sure nobody here fusses much about picture-quality, JennyLeah. I’d love to see your socks.

and sorry to hear about your down time, but sounds like you are on the upswing now…always good to hear!

Maybe it’s time to make a few new friends here too. I’m older than dirt (well, maybe not that old - only a young 63). But my 33 -year old daughter is going through a relationship breakup now, with her boyfriend of 10 years. They have to sell their nice semi-detached house in the big city; he’s moving to a monastery for a bit (lost in his identity); she loves her job, and wants to find an apartment near where she lives now…so I greatly sympathize. She even said, for the first time in her life!..that she wants to learn to knit!!!

Be well! Nice to meet you. :muah:
