Hi. I’m doing the Little Avery free pattern and online it says to use 4mm circular needles and 4.5mm needles.
In the downloadable pdf it doesn’t mention circular needles, just 4mm and 4.5mm.
Should both sizes be circular or both plain needles? I’m very confused :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

They are both circular needles and the sleeves are worked in the round so you’ll use the magic loop method for those.

You can use circular needles to knit either flat or in the round. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pattern require straight needles, although if you prefer them you could use them for the body and then switch to circulars or DPNs for the sleeves.
