I’m sort of excited. I’ve been knitting socks by making sure I follow the pattern word for word. Last night when I did that, I thought, “Hmmm, that’s not right, but I’m not an expert so I’ll just do it anyway.” When I finished the heel turn and looked at it, I thought, “Ugly!” So I frogged the heel, and started again, when I got to the mistake in the pattern-it glares out at you-I did it what I thought was the right way and BY JOVE! it worked!!! Then I did some checking on heels online and reading a bit and a lighted blinked on in my brain. I think I’ve ‘got’ socks now. I can make any patten I want as long as I follow a few simple math rules.

I’m not bragging, just excited.

Congrats…you can brag. We all assume the pattern is right and it takes it smart woman to not frog it more than once before bellieving in herself. Good for you!
