Hi I have a question about knitting in the round on circular needles. I’m knitting a sweater and noticed my lifeline looks like they’re not all in the same row just like the picture shows. (This is not my knitting I got the picture from here: https://www.reddit.com/r/knitting/comments/9fmxmr/lifeline_in_the_round_question/
I wanted to start in 1x1 ribbing and I’m worried that it won’t be aligned. How does this work? Will my ribbing be aligned in 1 row or will it be off? I hope that makes sense, thank you! When you knit in the round you are always knitting a helix. The rounds aren’t aligned and neither will the lifeline be aligned.
The change to or from ribbing won’t be so noticeable but a short stripe pattern change often is. That’s why there are methods for adjusting the rounds to compensate with stripes.
So don’t be concerned about the ribbing or a possible change to another stitch pattern.
