Lettuce edgings

For those who have made lettuce edgings on the top of socks and along borders of blankets, I would like to know exactly how the lettuce edging is done. I haven’t found a pattern for it yet.

I bought a lettuce edge sock pattern at either JoAnns or Michaels. It was one of those little sock booklets. You basically knit a round or two and then k3tog all the way around (check your pattern for exact instructions). That gives it a lettuce edge.

k3tog :??

You mean knit into each stitch 3x?
That would make sense. nods I can do that.

Thanks! :muah:

k3tog is a decrease… you’re knitting 3 stitches together as one. (NOT to knit into each stitch 3 times).

That’s all the help I can be because I don’t know what a lettuce edging looks like

yeah but lettuce edging is like a little ruffle, so it would make sense for it to be k3 into 1 st.
These have lettuce edging.

I agree that knitting 3 times in one stitch wowuld create the ruffle… but k3tog is not the right symbol for it.
