Help help!!
I’m making a curcular cardi-sweater type thing and am about to run out of room on my circular needle with lots of increases still to go!! I’ve heard you can knit in the round on 2 circular needles but cannot imagine how to do it, can anyone steer me in the right direction??

You’ll get the hang of it very easily once you do it-- you just divide the stitches between 2 circulars (it doesn’t have to be exactly half and half, unless you’re working on a pattern where that will make it easier to keep track of things). Then, as you’re knitting, when you get to the end of one needle, just pick and start with the other one. Just think of it at if your sweater is 2 semi-circles. The one little hint is that you may want to keep needle protectors on the ends of the one you’re not using so that the stitches don’t fall off.
Another thing to remember is to work the stitches that are on one of the needles off with the SAME needle.
thanks very much for that, had thought of trying to do that but then thought I’d end up with a figure eight, hmm, still having trouble getting my head round it but the worst that could happen is I’ll have to un-knit, wouldn’t be the first time, do you reckon rubber bands would do to stop my stitches falling off?? Am way over the hobby budget for the month!!

It sounds like you’re knitting with a short needle. Anything 30" or larger should allow you to get all the sts on one. But yeah, 2 needles will work fine too. Take the 2nd one and knit until it’s full, then take the other end of the needle you’ve been working with and knit until it’s full. They will cross over each other, but your stitches won’t.
After a couple of redwines to soothe the nerves I took the plunge and I think so far I’m ok, the Yarn I’m using is really thick and Hobart is not exactly awash with stores selling yarn and equipment so I’ll probably end up with 4 circulars or something ridiculous like that!
