Hello…
I am looking for a lacey cardigan…actually…something more in between a cardigan and a poncho.
I am becoming increasingly more sensitive to the sun…and I need something that I can wear on even the hottest of days…that will cover me enough to keep the sun off…
It is heat rash that is giving me a problem…I am just looking for the best solution…smiles
Did you check Ravelry? Tons of patterns there. I’d help you look, but I have no idea what something would look like that is between a cardigan and poncho… :??
Yeah…I had a look on Raverly…(it is now a standard first smiles)
But I am thinking of something more in a lace…a lot of patterns marked Lace are a dense pattern…and light airy ones are just shawls…perhaps I should be looking for a shawl…
And Hey…I found something between a sweater and a blanket…why not something between a poncho and a cardigan…I am picturing like a button up poncho I guess…smiles…

Crycket, have you Googled “sun protection garments”? There are all kinds of blouses, shirts, pants, hats, etc., that keep the sun off of you, and help keep you cool. They even look OK.
A friend has severe sun allergy, but she’s an avid gardener. She has found some success with these garments, and a big hat.
A nice, lacy sweater would probably still let the sun get to your skin.
Good idea, Deb. They would provide a lot more protection actually than a loosely knitted garment. My DH has an outfit for sailing and he said it works great. He got it from here many years ago.
