Lace weight yarns questions

Hi.:grinning:I was wondering if you knitters can help me understand lace weight and yarn weights.

Is lace weight include label 1 super fine , sock weight , super fine label 2 and fingering weight for making shawls?:thinking:

I am really confused on lace weight and different yarn weight number labels and the yarn weight coversion in different countries like Canada.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

This table from the Craft Yarn Council is a pretty good summary of yarn weights, names and the numbering system used by some manufacturers. There’s a bit of overlap as you can see.
