I’m trying to increase on the front of the sweater. Here is the directions…I can’t seem to get it right!! I’m having trouble taking the increase stitches in to the pattern. Do I need to draw this out? I’m not sure what I’m doing and can’t seem to find anyone with the expertise to help in my local area:

Keeping pattern correct, increase 1 st at each end of next row, then on 9 following 4th rows, then on following 12 alt rows, taking increase st in to pattern (147)

Sometimes the best thing to do is to work the increases in stockinette until you have enough sts for a full repeat. Since the repeat is 4sts, this should work well. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you.
