I found a bunch of really neat designs on this website (scroll down to the bottom http://fitterknitter.com/Lace.html) and I have been trying to knit them with fine yarns, but it just isn’t coming out right. Is there a certain type of yarn and needle size to use when doing projects like this? I would really like to use a mix of a couple of these for this thing I’m making but I can’t do it!! Thanks ahead of time, you guys are all awesome 
With lace you can use just about any weight of yarn and a needle that’s about 2-4 sizes larger than you’d knit that yarn in stockinette. It also can look like ramen noodles until it’s blocked, so if it’s looking crumpled, block out what you’ve done at any point, or just stretch it out too see what it’ll look like when done.
