Lace Knitting Question

I have a pattern for the Pillared Archways Lace Scarf from Heartstrings and one of the lace stitches is “P3tog-K3tog-P3tog” into the same three stitches. Does anyone know how to do this and can you explain it to me?

Thanks

Eileen

Just from the description it’s hard to tell…is there a line from the pattern you can post that might give better context as to what the pattern is trying to accomplish there?

I just saw the abbreviation at the heartstrings website…it seems like she means doing it in the same manner as when you knit into the front and back of a stitch?

K3tog but don’t slip the original 3 stitches off left needle, then bring yarn forward and P3tog the same 3 stitches, still not slipping original stitches off, return yarn to back and K3tog the same 3 stitches once more, now slipping the original 3 off the left needle.

Let us know how this goes - that sounds like it will be a bit tricky to maneuver, especially if you are a tight knitter.
