Lace increase

hello! i am new to this forum, i have been knitting again for about 2 years now, but i actually have been doing it intermittently since i was about 8. the last break was 10 years or so though…

anyways, i need some help. i decided to finally start on the high neck lace top from vogue knitting holiday 2005, and by row 3 i was already lost. le sigh. you have to “make” some stitches in row 1 using a yo, and then in row 2 you are supposed to k1, p1, p1 into this “made” stitch. k1 p1 i can do, but that extra p1 is throwing me off because i am essentially just making an extra loop (because i keep th yarn in front) and it doesn’t make a proper stitch. so then by row 3 when i try to knit that loop it’s all loose. :??

How would it look if you did a k, p, k into that stitch? I read a lot about Vogue patterns having errors, so that could be it.

hmmm yes, i will try that then. i checked the error page, but maybe they didn’t catch it.

thanks!

edit: that was the answer!!! :cheering: thanks sooooo much!
