I didn’t even remember that I added all of this yarn (plus a few extra tips and cables) to my wishlist, but they were ordered (by the best partner ever) and delivered today.
I’m super pumped to get to dying them… I just can’t remember what I had originally decided I needed them for. The 3 skeins of superwash worsted I KNOW are for another Hemlock for my mom… but other than that it’s up in the air :oD
Oh! What fun! I used to batik dye shirts and stuff for friends in school. I don’t miss the smells of the dyes, however, LOL. Have fun with it and be sure to show us what you do with it.
Dyeing wool always makes me think of the smell of vinegar. Ditto coloring Easter eggs.
The wool looks beautiful. Half the fun is deciding what colors to use.

Royal Purple! I love it! One of these day I shall attempt to dye some yarn.
It’s a lot of fun! The colors are even cooler now that it’s mostly dry, I’ll have to take another picture later when I get it all untangled ;o)

I am in love with hand dyed yarns… I have way too much sock yarn in my stash due to this obsession I have with it… Lots of times I don’t even want to knit it because it’s so pretty just sitting there… Lol but my question is I woukd love to try and dye some yarn… How do u do this and where do I find the yarn?
