I’m at the Short Row Heel and I can manage that part ok but when I get to the next part where you work successively longer rows - I have huge holes and I’m getting really frustrated.
Has anyone worked this pattern?
I have not made your pattern or even made a short row heel, but I know a little about short rows. A lot of times they have you do something special at the place where you turn that helps to close the hole. Were you told anywhere to do a ‘wrap’ with your turn? That is one common thing to do. Then when you knit past the gap you pick up the wrap and knit it with the stitch it wraps.
I just did a turn that didn’t tell me to do anything special as I did the turn, but when I knit back past the gap I was told to pick up a stitch loop in the row below (from under the right hand needle) with the tip of the left hand needle and knit that loop together with the next stitch past the gap. You might try that.
