I posted this question but it got hidden in another thread so here goes –
I looked at the Knucks pattern for fingerless gloves and it is made fingers first.
I was under the impression that most gloves are made from the wrist up.
Is there any advantage to making the fingers first?
Or can I adapt any glove pattern and simply bind off the fingers to make them “fingerless?”
I get the feeling that sometimes on Knitty people write the patterns in different ways just to be different and add a little interest to an otherwise predictable pattern but not necessarily to lessen the difficulty of the pattern.
Thanks,
Susan
