Knitty's Fetching thumb question

Hi Everyone. I’m knitting Fetching and I’ve come to an issue. I’ve completed the hand part and it’s on to the thumb. I took out the waste yarn and attempted to finish per the instructions. When I’m “knitting” it looks like I’m purling. It says to knit the whole 4 rounds then bind off. All of my knitting is coming up bumpy on the wrong side? What on earth am I doing wrong??

I frogged all the way back to the starting 6 stitches on top and 7 on the bottom. Can someone help??

The rest of these were so easy and I was so proud of myself, now I’m stuck!!

i just finished these and I struggled with this internally for a little while before figuring out which way to knit it. basically, with knitting in the round, based on the way you hold your work/needles you may knit inside out - which is fine as long as you are consistent. I find it easier to knit inside out.

so, I would start over with the thumb, but turning your entire glove inside out first and trying the thumb again.

this site (at the bottom) explains knitting inside out in the round - with pictures.

one of the other things you can do, if you find that you are having the sam problem after you start again, is just purl them all instead of knitting them. should have the stitches on the correct side then.

Both of those are wonderful suggestions! Thank you! Since I purl a lot looser than I knit, I may just to the inside out idea. I tried to purl the whole thing too and it seemed loosey goosey! Thank you so much to both of you!!
