Knittitng gloves

I am knitting a pair of fingerless gloves for my husband, I need to inc, however, I don’t know if I should m1l or m1r. Can anyone help?

If the pattern doesn’t specify, it may not matter. If this increase is paired with another increase, you could do one of each. Do you have a pattern link?

No, it doesn’t specify. Just says to increase.

I couldn’t get the link to work but if it’s just an unpaired increase between sts, do whichever you think will look best.

If you’re making the thumb gore, every knitting pattern I’ve seen uses a kfb increase.
