My daughter, who is 5 years old, wanted me to take a video of her knitting. I thought I would post it here, because she’s just so darned cute!

How adorable! I love that she is remembering things like “tightening up my stitch” that you have taught her. So cute!
That is so cute. I am trying to teach my 5 year old granddaughter and it hasn’t gone well. I think her being left handed is making it more difficult for her and I think the yarn I am using is too slippery.
I think I will get her some heavy wool yarn that doesn’t slip.
That is so sweet! She’s a natural.
I have tried to teach both of my boys (now 10 and 7) and neither of them really got it. It didn’t occur to me to try my 5yo DD already, maybe the earlier the better. Plus I knit continental, maybe that’s the problem?

I can’t wait until my Daisy Grace gets old enough to teach. She’s not quite 2 so I have a couple of more years to go. I just love that video!

I had a lot of trouble trying to teach her (she wanted to learn but would give up quickly) until I taught her the little rhyme

She loved it and caught on quickly after that.
