Knitting stitch pattern help

I have the Field Guide to Knitting and Plate # 79 is the basket cable. The book has errors, all over and in this pattern its missing rows 8 and 10. the pattern goes like this

Row 1: K2, purl to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 2: Knit
Row 3: K2, purl to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 4: Knit
Row 5: k2, Purl to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 6: K2, *slip 4 stitches onto a cable needle, and hold in back, k4,
then k4 from cable needle, repeat to end k2
Row 7: k2, purl to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 8:
Row 9:k2, purl to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 10:
Row 11: k2, purl to last 2 stitches, k2
Row 12: k6, *slip 4 stitches to cable needle and hold in front, k4,
then k4 from cable needle, end k6

Can someone help me ASAP with 8 and 10? I need this for a project for my husband.

I think rows 8 and 10 would be knit, just like rows 2 and 4. You wouldn’t cable on every RS row, so with rows 6 and 12 being the cable crossing ones is about right.

I agree, and have found other instructions where rows 8 and 10 are specified as knit, so it seems our logic is correct.
