I’m knitting the socks and I’m at The Heel part. I saw there is a double asterisks. I was wondering if this means that I’m supposed to add the remaining stitches on the stitch holder every row or just after that one line with S1,k24. I just did it that one time and I have a feeling that I’m wrong
Knitting socks
This is interesting. Is there a photo showing the sock heel? I’ll admit that I have no idea about this construction. I’ve knit short row heels, Fleegle heels, heel flap and pick up gusset stitches and faux heel flap heels. Roxanne Richardson has a video on Mock Short Row Heel that I checked to see if this might be it. What comes next after you s1, p6, s1, turn work. I fully expect this will make sense to someone else here, it’s just out of my range of experience. I tried finding at least a photo of socks by this name online and was unsuccessful. As for the ** could it be for a footnote?
eta Oops. I had a thought that I forgot to include. I’d probably just leave the slipped stitches on the needle and ignore them as the work progressed.
Thanks for the help. Here are the rest of the photos
Thanks. It ends up looking like a short row heel. I don’t really see how it works but I would just leave the stitches not worked hanging out on the needles. Eventually they’ll be put back in play. I expect you’ll get a real answer from someone here.
Because I think there are similarities I’m linking this video.
GG has put you on the right track for completing your sock heel. Just wanted to add that the double asterisk refers to directions later for the second sock where the heel section is repeated between the asterisks.

Sorry! Wasn’t aware of the copyright issues. Pics are deleted. Thanks for the help!
