Hi.:grinning: I was wondering if a person could use a different st pattern for afew rows instead of the regular stockinette stitches on a sock pattern Lke one cable or bobble sts or a 1 row of garter sts on the sock pattern?:face_with_raised_eyebrow:
And if so,How does a person do it and figure it out?:thinking:

You can do anything you want. Some patterns like cables act a bit like ribbing in that they pull in so keep that in mind.

Have you made socks before? If not I suggest using patterns till you become comfortable with it.
