I have been knitting for a long time and I always knitted from one needle to the other, I never swapped needles. But when I was looking at a tutorial video on a new pattern I wanted to try, I noticed all the rows started with the needle with the stitches in the left hand and the empty one in the right. Is the way I was doing it wrong?

I don’t think there’s a “wrong” way to do something if it gets you the same results as someone else doing it a different way, but I think most people do swap needles in the way you’re describing it from the video.
Ok. Thanks. I was worried for a bit.
No need to worry, just enjoy your knitting ![]()
Do you knit back and forwards, like a tennis match, so you never purl?
Or is it like this video, where your stitches start on the right needle and end up on the left, purl rows as well?
