First roll? If you can be more specific it would help For example tell us what you’re making and give a link to the pattern if possible.
Stockinette naturally curls so it needs a non curling border like garter or seed stitch. There is a link at the top of the forum that addresses this, too.

This is why we need more info right at the start so we can answer your questions fully right from the start. 
Will you be adding a border later? Like a button band and bottom band? If so then don’t worry about the curl. It’s annoying, but the borders later will take care of it.
If you’ll be seaming the edges, that stops them from curling. At the cast on edge, a border will help.
