Knitting pocket lining - wrong size needle

I am knitting a sweater using needle size 6 for the body. Needle size 5 for the rubbing and cuffs.

Today I began knitting my pocket lining for two pockets. I accidentally used my size 5 needles and have already knitted several inches of both linings. I’m knitting them both at the same time.

I know the most correct thing would be to redo them with needle 6, but before I rip them out would the lining work? I’m thinking the negative would be they’re going to be knitted into the body so there may be some puckering if the lining is slightly smaller than the live stitches I’m adding them to, but could it be fixed via blocking?

You could block what you’ve done so far (put the stitches on scrap yarn) and see whether the size matches your pattern schematic. And also how the gauge/tension compares to your main fabric.

If it’s different, you will get puckering.

Bit of a pain, but you might have to reknit.
