Knitting on the round on two circular needles

I have a pattern for prairie boots and it calls for knitting in the round on two circular needles and told me there would be a video on this site. I don’t know where to go to see this. can you please help me

I am using this technique for my first sweater because I only have a 29" circular and I need a 40 chest circumference. I like this technique, but for less stitches I would probably do magic loop.

29" is probably too short for magic loop even for a small diameter project. You risk stressing and breaking the cable and yes, I did that once. The best solution IMO is a set of circular needles that you can use a longer or shorter cable to suit your project. I only have fixed circs for knitting sox because the interchangeables that I use don’t go down below size 4 and I needed sizes 0 - 3 which I got in 47".
