Hello, my name is Reid and I was wondering if I could have a quick moment of your time to help me. I am in the middle of creating a business of scarves, and was going to have them manufactured by someone else, but due to large required minimum orders I started having second thoughts and a friend turned me on the the idea of purchasing a knitting machine to create them. But now I have no idea what kind of machine I would be looking at! I have read your page on selecting a machine, watched numerous videos and looked at other pages, but I could really use some hands-on advice!
My scarves that I am looking to create would be a standard shape, nothing really special in that area. They would be made with acrylic, weighing anywhere from .3lbs to .5lbs. I would say the thickness would be somewhere about 1/3 an inch thick, and knitted (obviously!) With that in mind, the last part is that my designs would be put onto these scarves, and there would be about an average of four colors on each scarf. Lots of neon colors, etc. Some of the designs are some-what intricate, and others have fading colors, and so I dont even know if this is a possibility to do! Can you please help me with some advice??!! These scarves would be marketed to the ski/snowboard industry so I really need them to look professional. Thank you so much for your time! Hi there,
I havent been able to find a section where its just for information on knitting machines.
I am very new to knitting machines and was wondering if its possible to make your own punchcards for the machine instead of buying them. Maybe get a pice of graph paper and copy everything on it just like to punchcard and then glue it onto a hards piece of card. the the is how do you punch out the holes without using a knitting punch that cost about €40.
