Knitting into the Wrap?

Save me, oh great Ingrid …ok, somebody else probably knows the answer but Ingrid is the great one.

Working on toe-up socks … done the initial short row shaping. Now for the reverse short row shaping. Pattern says to slip the wrap up and over the stitch and then to knit the wrap together with the stitch.

This sounds easy enough, but with fingering weight yarn and size 1.0 needles I can barely see the wrap and … how DO you knit the wrap and the stitch together?

Amy’s video explains it really well:

What finally made it “click” for me was remembering to put my needle through the stitch first, then the wrap, when knittig them together.

I swear, I checked for an Amy video on this today and didn’t find it. Many thanks. I did convince myself that I could figure out how to insert the needle into the wrap, but after a second glass of wine … not gonna try until tomorrow!! But Now I got a video! Cool!
