can anyone tell me how to knit into the back of a stitch?
If it’s for an increase, you’ll put your needle into the purl bump behind the knit loop on you left needle, knit it and then knit the loop on the needle. HTH!
Each stitch has two legs, one in front of the needle, one in back. In regular knitting, you knit (or purl) into the front one. If it’s just knit into the back of the stitch, you knit into the back leg only. If it’s knit into the front then the back, you knit as usual but leave the stitch on the needle, then knit into the back leg too.

If this helps (and correct me if I am wrong, folks) if you insert your needle where you would purl, but poke it out the back instead of the front then knit- that’s knitting through the back loop.
No, look in the glossary for k-b/ktbl - knit through the back loop.
Yep, that’s what I was trying to say! I knew I had seen that video on here but didn’t think to look in the glossary.
