I just came across something in a pattern that I haven’t seen before. “k9 front, [COLOR=“Teal”]mark next stitch[/COLOR] and then [COLOR=“Teal”](k1, yo, k1) into that stitch[/COLOR], k5 (sleeve)”
(1) Usually when I mark my knitting I just slip a circle stitch marker in between stitches, so I am not sure how to mark a specific stitch.
(2) If I have a specific stitch marked, how would i k1, yo, k1 into that stitch?
This sounds tricky, and can not seem to figure it out. Anyone familiar with this instruction? Thank you!
You can just tie a little piece of contrasting color yarn into that stitch to mark it. It’s probably to keep track of that particular line of stitches since increasing in it would throw off a regular marker that goes on the needle.
To k,yo,k into that stitch, ignore your marker. Knit but don’t slide it off, bring the yarn forward between the needles as if you’re going to purl, then knit the stitch again. and slide it off. You’ll have 3 where there was one.
You can use a piece of yarn, or safety pin or paperclip in the stitch; it’s easy to knit into it without taking it out. Then you move it up every couple of rows.

I think I keep repeating this to make top-down raglan increases.
There is a note that I should keep repeating the k1, yo, k1 every time I come across these marked stitches. Do I repeat at the 1st of the three? or the second, since it is in the middle? Would you m ove the marker up a row each time to the new set of three?
The note in the pattern states , “To keep raglan increases aligned, remember to increase directly above yarn over of the previous increase row.”
I’m guessing I should keep moving the marker up as I knit each new three and do the next k1,yo,k1 into the middle stitch?

The k yo k should be done in the middle st, what would be the YO. Do you do it on every round/row, or every other one? Do you have a link to the pattern?
