I’m not a very experienced knitter but I decided to try to make a pair of glittlens. The pattern I found is telling me to “cast on and join into a round” and I’m not sure how to do that.
Can anyone help me out?
Knitting into a round?
To ‘join’ in the round you simply knit the first Cast on stitch. Spread your needles out with the last CO st and the working yarn on your right, then bring the two ends into a circle and knit the first stitch on the left needle.
You’re using DPNs, right? Just make sure your stitches are not twisted after separating your stitches as directed onto the other two needles and join the end loop to your first cast on loop. Now you’ve started a tube!
