I am trying to knit in the round with a rib, which I would normally do as k2p2, but it is not looking right. I know that if you knit continuously in the round you get the stockinette stitch, so I figured that k2p2 should work, but I guess not. Please help!
k2p2 will work in the round, but make sure you’re using a multiple of 4 since there are 4 stitches in the k2p2 sequence.
If you have a multiple of 4, then you should be able to k2p2 continuously around and around.
Thank you!!! So, but that definition, if I were to do a k1p1 rib, would the stitch total need tobe divisible by 2? This is only my 2nd knit-in-a-round project, and all of my knitter friends aren’t as ‘experimental’ as I am.
Yes a k1p1 rib requires an even number of stitches.
