I say grief, cuz my knitting time is slowly coming to a close for a while. I will be doing some quilting for girl scouts pretty soon!!! AAAAAAAA…AND I have 2 projects left to knit. Both can be shelved while I quilt…but I opened my MOUTH, and said…don’t pay the money…I"LLLLLLLLLL do it…ugg…
We are making a quilt for the leader. Each of the girls made a picture of themselves on a piece of muslin. A grandma will be piecing it together, and then I get to quilt it. I am SERIOUSLY thinking about tying the heck out of the thing, and then doing hand quilted embelishments on it…more in the interest of time. I am a purist, and so this is killing me to even consider it, but I think that I can let my perfectionism go, in the interest of time!!!
I am making a cowl neck poncho for my girlfriend, who is TALL and rather buxom…so it is taking a LOT longer than I was wishing…I just knit and knit and knit and knit…I am in the 3rd skein of Homespun, and I have one to go. I am not terribly sure if I have enough!!!
Also, the NEVER ENDING SOCKS…geesh…I LOVE working at the pool 2 hours minimum each day…I get 10 hours a week to knit…notso during the school year. I have the toe left on the sock, but have gone from DPN’s to 2 circulars, but didn’t realize that the circ’s needed to be LONG, so I got 2 12 inchers, so now I have 2 12 inch addi’s. I’ll finish the sock on one 12 inch go down to the DPNS (if necessary, which I am sure it will be) and then go like gangbusters to get the second sock done.
Oh, and just for “fun” I have a hat OTN that has tiny cables and bobbles…ACK…I can do about 4 bobbles before I have to say…ENOUGH…bt I think there is only one row of that left.
I just can’t start ANYTHING new until the quilt is done…and even if the quilt gets here before I am finished with these projects, it isn’t like I’ll be able to start anything NEW…grrr…Ok…rant over…
Who knows–maybe you could knit on the toilet or something if your really hurtin for a knitting fix.
