I bought some Colinette Mohair for a wrap sweater. Because it is hand dyed the label recommends working with more than one hank at a time.
“Try working 2-4 rows from each hank, carrying the yarn up the side.”
Can someone explain to me the best way to do this?

basically do it like you are changing colors. the reason is with hand dyed yarn there is no real way to make sure that colors from the same dye lot are actually the same colors. if you knit until one hank is gone and then start the next like you normally would, you could have a very obvious line of demarcation where you changed yarns. switching off every few rows will help avoid that because the colors will blend in.
I have only changed colors by breaking the yarn and attaching a new color with a slip knot. I am assuming that this is not the same. That is what I need explained.

Since its a lot of trouble to cut and restart every few rows, just bring your working yarn under the yarn that’s hanging on the side to carry it up the side.
