The best thing is to wind the two yarns separately into balls (do not wind the two yarns together into one ball). If you can wind the balls from the cones placed on a turntables, lazy susans or paper towel holders that will be best as the yarns will pull off straight from the cones and avoid extra twist as ColoCro suggested.
