I am working on my first gloves. I’m stuck in the pattern - can anyone help?
I have knitted the cuff, shaped the thumb gusset and slipped the thumb opening stitches onto a stitch holder. The directions now say to “cast on 2 sts over the slipped sts”. Can anyone explaine to me what I am to do here?

If I’m reading you correctly and with my experience you are going to be adding the two stitches and joining at the thumb to continue knitting in the round.
CO sts to the hand in the gap where you put the thumb sts on a holder. Use the knit cast on by moving the R needle into the L hand, knit into the first st but leave it on the needle, put the new st on the L needle too, then do that again and move the needle back to the R hand and continue with the hand stitches.
