My great uncle used to knit airtex type blankets using only one fairly long wooden needle and the finger of the opposite hand, so it looked like a cross between knitting and crochet? Does anyone have any knowledge of this type of knitting, what its calld and how to do it. Many thanks - Gail
Could it possibly be tunisian crochet?
Thanks or the info - it might be, but i dont remember the needle having a hook on it. Will lookinto it.
I was also thinking Tunisian crochet.
Where I’m at, the only size afghan hooks I can find are H, I, J, K and occassionally M. I’ve used knitting needles in smaller sizes if I’m feeling particularly determined.
Long afghan hooks for Tunisian crochet can be found around and about. I’ve seen them in Walmart and Hobby Lobby. Probably Joann’s and Michael’s.
