Knitting balls/beads for a necklace

Hello everyone,

I have had a little read through some previous posts and had a quick search, but still need some help please.

I want to make a necklace consisting of knitted ‘beads’ or balls, which would be stuffed with a lightweight filling and then intermittedly attached to some silver thread.

…sort of like this one…

However, I am not sure how to make the balls. Can anyone help? I think it would be better to knit continually, as seems would be so noticeable. Just an aside, I saw one in a magazine on sale for £72!! (about $125!!). Yikes!

Many thanks for your suggestions. I am able to follow patterns if anyone can suggest a link.

Ingrid - thankyou! The one called ‘Necklace’ is just right, I’m going to start right now…
