I was knitting and changed colors and then back again. That was fine, and both seams appeared on the same side.
My problems began when I realized I had made a mistake in the original section so I thought - NO Problem I tore out the first section and thought I would knit back that section. Not so easy. I cannot knit and get the seam on the right side. Please help. What am I doing wrong.
Ok. I have signed up and in. Now can anyone help?

What is the name of your pattern? Can you give us a link to a pattern photo and possibly post a photo of your knitting so far?
