Knitting Back

I think I saw somewhere on this forum (or in the video section) directions for “knitting back” as opposed to purling when you are working on narrow stockinette peices. I have done search upon search and can’t find it anywhere. Help?!?

It’s at the bottom of the Purling page of videos.

So what you’re nicely telling me is that yes, in fact, I am blind! :roflhard:

:roflhard:
I wouldn’t have known where to look either, but I was watching the purl videos recently because I had a sneaking suspicion that all the purls I’d ever made were twisted.

And were they? That is so funny. I have been knitting for three years now, and even though I made many beautiful things. I still sometimes listen to descriptions of things on this site and think “oh no, I am doing it all wrong!”. :rofling:

Absolutely. I’d been wrapping the yarn the wrong way around the needle and twisting my stitches. And for the longest time I just thought that I was mysteriously purling really tight and I thought nothing of it. But then I began to have my doubts, “listening in” on conversations around the forum, and I thought I’d double check just to be sure. And sure enough, I’d been doing it wrong since I was seven or eight. :rofling:
