Knitting a pattern in different weight yarn help needed

They are difference weights. Is there a way to use this pattern with bulky yarn? - or should I look for a different pattern?
Does anyone have a pattern for a overall play dress that would work with bulky yarn?

That’s such a sweet dress. Really, the easiest thing is to either buy the correct yarn weight for the pattern or find one for the bulky yarn that you have. There are a couple on Ravelry that might work depending on the gauge you get with the yarn.

Those are a couple of good choices. I was having trouble finding the right words to search. Everyone seems to call it something different.
