Knitting a crochet pattern

I have found a crochet purse pattern and since I don’t crochet, can I knit it? Thanks for the help.

Can you show us what the purse looks like - maybe someone will know a knit stitch that will give a similar look.

The pattern was from the Lion Brand Yarn newsletter I receive. It’s name is the Bright Idea Bag.
