Knitted dolls

I went to a baby shower this weekend for our neice who is coming from China soon (hopefully). I am so excited to have a little girl to knit for. My SIL received a lot of dolls and now I want to knit one. Has anyone knitted any dolls? How about that book that has the dolls and clothes/accessories that you knit? I also want to knit it with Chinese skin tone. Does the book give you yarn suggestions for different skin tones?

I don’t know of any books, since I’m not a doll knitter, but here are some doll and doll clothing patterns.
