Does anyone know how to do this, it isn’t clear to me. I’m novice in using dpn.
says, knit next 3 sts and transfer the 3 sts just knitted onto dpn; then wind yarn 6 times counterclockwise (looking down from top_ around these three sts under dpn: then return the 3 sts to right-hand neele (cluster 3).
do you do the wind 6 x’s by going under the dpn? I looked on youtube but found only the bobbles using the non-dpn method.
Thanks, Linda:wall:
This is something new to me. But following the directions does make a cluster mass. You are not using the dpn to knit with, you are only using it to allow you to do the unusual wrapping maneuver. Knit the 3 stitches and then slip them to the left, off the end of the right hand needle straight onto a dpn, then begin wrapping by going left to right across in front of the 3 stitches, under the dpn and around the back. Make 6 revolutions with the yarn going under the dpn on each end as you go around. You’ll end up with the yarn in back again. Then slip the 3 stitches purlwise back onto the right hand needle (they have already been knit).
Never heard of such a thing.
Thank you so much, this makes more sense then how they explained. Linda
You’re welcome. Depending on the look you want, I think I’d be tempted to not wrap the yarn so many times as they say. You wouldn’t have to anyway unless you wanted to.
